Cookie policy
Short version: we use cookies and similar tools on our website to understand visits and measure our own advertising. In the EEA, UK and Switzerland they stay off until you accept; elsewhere they are on by default. Change your choice any time with Cookie settings.
What this covers
This policy is about cookies on the Deadspend marketing website only. It does not concern any data in the Google Ads account you connect for an audit, which is covered by the privacy policy.
Categories we use
- Strictly necessary: keep the site secure and remember your cookie choice. Always on; no consent needed.
- Analytics: Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity show us which pages are read and where people get stuck, in aggregate.
- Advertising measurement: Google Ads conversion tracking and the Meta Pixel let us see which ads bring real orders so we don't waste the budget. When you buy, the order ID and amount (and, for Meta, a one-way hashed email, browser and IP) are sent to Google and Meta. This never includes anything from your Google Ads account.
- Attribution: a first-party record of the campaign that brought you (utm tags, click IDs, landing page) is kept in your browser for up to 90 days and attached to your order.
Consent Mode
We run Google Consent Mode v2 with every advertising and analytics signal denied by default. Tags load only after you accept where opt-in is required, and immediately where opt-out applies. Rejecting leaves only the strictly necessary cookies.
Changing or withdrawing consent
Use Cookie settings at the bottom of any page, or clear cookies in your browser. You can also opt out of Google Analytics with Google's browser add-on.
